On the 23rd September 2025, we welcomed members, partners, and community stakeholders to our Annual General Meeting.
Held at Dragon Coworking, Chatham, the AGM brought together voices from across the youth sector to review our achievements, challenges, and strategic direction for the years ahead.
Key Highlights
2025 -2029 Strategy: We were pleased to share the strategic direction for Young Medway. More information can be found on our home page - we look forward to continued growth for Medway’s Youth Sector.
Financial Transparency: Our Treasurer presented an overview of the budgets, funding streams, and further information around the restricted and unrestricted funds held by Young Medway.
Youth Sector Overview: Karen Self shared a coordinated sector-wide response to rising divisive rhetoric, alongside an update on the national youth strategy and consultation outcomes.
Peer Review Overview: Roy Smith shared highlights, strengths and areas of improvement from the recent peer review, where an action plan will follow. This was followed by a group activity sharing the youth provisions available in Medway.
Looking Ahead
As Young Medway moves forward, we remain committed to financial clarity, sector collaboration, and continuous improvement. The insights from the recent peer review will continue to shape the direction of Young Medway, alongside our engagement with providers of youth services across Medway. Young Medway will continue to provide networking and training events throughout the year and looks forward to our continued partnership with our members.
